FairGo Footy (FGF) consists of a series of one hour clinics run on Saturday mornings from May through to August – each clinic is based on a typical footy training session consisting of a warm-up, skills development and game play and a few fun games. The program has been running since 2007. In season 2020 it will be one of three pilot centers aligned with the StKilda Football Club 'Saints All Play' program based on the Deakin University All Play principles.
Fair Go Footy also provides an opportunity for community minded youth to get involved through a mentor training program developed in-conjunction with Connect Health & Community. Led by the program’s coordinator, within a supportive and structured environment, volunteers become involved with the coaching of the players.
The program is run in conjunction with the OJFC. Children of all ages, those that have previously taken part, as well as any new children are encouraged to join in.
